Piping Designer
to develop detailed piping drawings in accordance with applicable specifications and work order instructions. This role ensures that design products and engineering deliverables meet engineering standards and customer specifications. Responsibilities include preparing
Bills of Material (BOM),
consulting with vendors on project-related activities, and coordinating design criteria with various departments, including engineering, manufacturing, tooling, materials, and planning. Key Responsibilities: Develop detailed piping drawings based on specifications and work order instructions. Ensure that design products and engineering deliverables conform to engineering and customer specifications. Prepare
Bills of Material (BOM). Collaborate with vendors on project-related activities. Coordinate design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, materials, and planning teams, considering factors such as manufacturability, material availability, and contractual requirements. Qualifications: Minimum of
5 years
of experience in piping design. Experience in the
shipbuilding industry
is a plus. Proficiency in
AutoCAD
and 3D modeling software such as
Ship Constructor, Nupas Cadmatic, Inventor,
and
CATIA. Strong understanding of
piping design principles
in the
shipbuilding industry. Ability to prepare
accurate and detailed Bills of Material (BOM). Effective
communication and collaboration
skills. Basic proficiency in
Microsoft Office applications. Skills: Proficiency in
AutoCAD
and 3D modeling software, including
Ship Constructor, Nupas Cadmatic, Inventor,
and
CATIA. Strong understanding of
piping design principles
in the
shipbuilding industry. Ability to prepare
