Overview
Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives. Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning to identify opportunities for growth. Collaborate with senior leaders to set revenue and profitability targets.
Sales Leadership
Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed revenue goals. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners. Establish sales processes, metrics, and tools to optimize team performance. Identify and explore new market opportunities to expand the customer base.
Marketing Leadership
Oversee the development of marketing plans, campaigns, and initiatives to promote brand awareness and product adoption. Build a pipeline of innovation that supports the five-year strategic plan. Ensure the alignment of marketing strategies with sales objectives to drive conversion. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing programs, adjusting strategies as needed. Manage the marketing budget and ensure a strong ROI on all marketing investments.
Collaboration and Communication
Foster a collaborative environment between sales, marketing, and other departments to ensure alignment and seamless execution of strategies. Act as the spokesperson for sales and marketing efforts in internal and external forums. Provide regular updates to leadership on performance metrics, challenges, and opportunities.
Team Development
Recruit, train, and retain top sales and marketing talent. Build a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Provide coaching and career development opportunities for team members.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business. MBA or advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in sales and marketing (CPG preferred), with a proven track record of success. Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and digital marketing trends. Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze data, set strategic priorities, and drive execution. Experience managing budgets and delivering ROI-focused outcomes. This position reports to CEO and will have two to three direct reports to start. Working Conditions: Exempt position where typical work week can average 40 hours or more. Travel required for training, seminars and trade shows. Tasks which are sedentary in nature.
