Who We Are Looking For
Phoenix Tailings is looking for a visionary and strategic Head of Public Relations to shape and elevate our brand story, both externally and internally. This person will be instrumental in communicating the revolutionary impact of our clean metals production technology, driving public engagement, and fostering a cohesive internal culture. You will help us define how the world sees Phoenix Tailings—and how we see ourselves—while building the public momentum critical to our mission’s success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a proactive PR and internal communications strategy that aligns with company goals and accelerates public awareness of clean mining solutions
- Serve as the company’s media spokesperson and manage all press interactions to build a strong, consistent, and compelling public narrative
- Cultivate relationships with key media outlets, industry thought leaders, and partners to amplify Phoenix Tailings' voice and achievements
- Oversee internal communications to ensure transparent, inspiring, and aligned messaging across all levels of the organization
- Lead crisis communication planning and response to protect and reinforce company reputation
- Craft compelling narratives, press releases, op-eds, and executive communications that highlight our work, people, and purpose
- Drive and maintain consistent brand positioning across all public and internal channels
- Collaborate with leadership to shape communications that support company culture, mission alignment, and employee engagement
- Monitor public sentiment and media coverage, providing strategic insights to leadership
- 10+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or media, preferably in cleantech, advanced manufacturing, or startup environments
- Proven ability to shape public narratives and lead communication efforts that drive brand visibility and impact
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills across a range of formats and audiences
- Experience managing press relationships, crisis communications, and high-profile media opportunities
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, compelling messaging
- Experience building and executing internal communication plans that drive alignment and engagement
