Purpose of Position:
We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to help us aspire to our purpose and mission by creating and maintaining engineering drawings, models, BOM's, and routers for manufacturing.
This position requires a significant amount of time at a desk, working independently using a computer. This person will also collaborate with peers, supervisors, managers, engineers, and manufacturing employees.
The Mechanical Designer is essential to the creation and delivery of quality products, on time for our customers.

This role will be100%Onsite working out of the Chaska, MN office.

Major Responsibilities:
Using Solidworks, create and maintain accurate 3D models, assemblies, and drawings that meet engineering, manufacturing, and customer requirements.Process Engineering Change Orders as needed.Create accurate BOM & Routers.Ensure company standards and procedures are incorporated into manufacturing drawings.Work independently with a high level of accuracy to complete multiple assigned projects on time.Support our safety culture by following all PPE and safety rules when engaging with the shop floor.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or manager.#SRCchaska
Requirements
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent, or 5+ year's experience.Good working knowledge of Solidworks and engineering terms highly required.Experience with sheet metal design preferred but not required.Experience using PDM Vault preferred but not required.Previous experience working with Epicor is beneficial but not required.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, SharePoint, etc.)Must be able to work with team members and work with minimal supervision.
