We're looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing Intern to join our team and contribute to our efforts to put olive oil in every kitchen in America, by making it easy, fun, and exciting to switch to Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a friendly environment and learn from a passionate team of Marketing professionals. This internship is on site at Corporate Headquarters at 4201 Pulaski highway in Baltimore 4 days a week/1 day remote. This position will provide the opportunity to learn all aspects of the Marketing department with an excellent opportunity to become part of the growing talent team and Pompeian family! Job Responsibilities:
- The creation and launch of digital marketing programs on platforms like Instacart, Walmart Connect or other retailer platforms to help grow sales of Pompeian
- Help build our growing community of influencers and partners on social media
- Research current social media trends, competitor activities, and emerging platforms to identify opportunities for growth and innovation
- Ship product samples to collaborators
- Create engaging and visually appealing content, including high-quality posts, stories, reels, short-form videos, and static graphics
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for marketing campaigns, content strategies, and new product launches
- Assist with marketing research, including analyzing data, and preparing reports
- Support the development and execution of PR campaigns and initiatives, such as product launches, events, and partnerships
- Assist in preparing media kits and other materials for press events
- Assist in developing marketing collateral, such as presentations and email newsletters
- Assist with event planning and execution
- Ensure all projects comply with environmental regulations and environmental goals
- Perform duties per Pompeian's mission, goals and core values
- All other duties and tasks assigned to assist with the Marketing Department
- Must be available to work June 2nd - Friday August 15th on site at 4201 Pulaski Highway at Pompeian Baltimore Headquarters manufacturing plant 4 days a week/1 day remote
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
- Prefer Food Marketing major
- Demonstrated strong interest in food marketing, nutrition or CPG Marketing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and grammar
- Familiarity with various social media platforms and their best practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong collaboration and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Creative, enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn
- Must have predictable and strong attendance
- Practical work experience shadowing, mentoring, and training opportunities available within the Marketing team
- $20/hour
- Gain hands-on work experience with a diverse team
- Participate in Kaizen Program, ERG's and community events
