Job Description Summary
The Graduate Assistant will assist the staff of the Office of the Director of Television Operations with implementation and coordination of televised campus activities and other specific projects, activities, and events in support of the office.
Responsibilities
Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission in Catholic and Lasallian higher education.
-Provide necessary support for projects related to Mission, strategic planning, accreditation, and assessment.
-Provide technical, on-site support for activities and events, including Commencement, honors/recognition events, several sporting events, Arts and Ideas, Convocation, Mission Orientation, etc.
-Assist with maintenance and documentation of the University Television Facility plan.
-Serve as the Assistant Moderator of the University Television Facility.
-Facilitate gathering of materials and data for various projects and reports; write summaries of project findings as requested.
-Research topical areas as requested including the completion of comprehensive literature and web searches.
-Assist the Office staff with scheduling, meeting preparation, and appropriate distribution/filing of materials, facilitation of appropriate projects, reports and events.
-Manage assigned cross functional projects with minimal supervision.
-Manage and maintain the University Tape Library.
-Create and duplicate multiple University events on DVD.
-Other job-related duties as assigned. '
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree. Must be enrolled in a graduate program at Lewis University and maintain satisfactory progress. Must also be available on some weekends and evenings. Individual needs to have extensive knowledge of Avid Media Composer. Understanding of how video cameras work is extremely important.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Radio & Television or some equivalent
