Superior Hospice is a newly founded hospice agency in Minnesota, embarking on a mission to provide compassionate and innovative care to individuals at the end of their life journey. We are currently building our core team and are in search of dedicated Music Therapy Volunteers who are passionate about using music to comfort, heal, and uplift our patients and their families during this significant time.

Core Responsibilities:
- Personalized Music Sessions: Plan and conduct personalized music therapy sessions to meet the emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial needs of each patient.
- Collaborative Care Planning: Work closely with our interdisciplinary team to integrate music therapy into the patient’s care plan effectively.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of music therapy sessions, including patient responses and progress.
- Compassionate Presence: Offer a comforting presence to patients and families, providing emotional support through music.
- Training Participation: Engage in extensive training programs provided by Superior Hospice to enhance your skills in providing end-of-life care.
Qualifications:
- A profound passion for music and its therapeutic benefits.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Empathy, patience, and a deep commitment to supporting individuals facing end-of-life challenges.
- Prior experience in music therapy, counseling, or hospice care is advantageous but not required.
- Willingness to undergo comprehensive training in hospice care and music therapy techniques.
