Job Summary:
Works on various Engineering projects through AutoCAD, working closely with Engineering personnel, Quality Assurance personnel, and the Parts, Fabrication & Assembly personnel.
Responsibilities:
- All work performed on CAD/AutoCAD.
- Help establish improvements and documentation for PF&A and Quality Assurance.
- Completing projects within the deadline.
- Documentation of all necessary processes that support product development, fixtures, and design fabrication.
- Be independent in various jobs and communicate well with the Senior Engineer and other team members on deadline commitments.
- Create Eco/Router report change, obsolete parts process, and new drawings.
- Document control - create file folders and organize file drawers.
Education / Experience:
- Minimum High School Diploma and 2 years' experience in a manufacturing company.
- School or work experience in AutoCAD and/or Inventor.
- Excel for a minimum of 2 years.
- Experience with PTC CREO or Pro Engineer experience is a plus.
- Skilled with measuring instruments including calipers, micrometer, indicators, gage pins, and spring tester (3D scanner, digitizing) is a plus.
- Must be able to handle confidential information and work well in an Engineering team.
- Knowledge in working with fiberglass material engineering is considered a plus.
- Ability to maintain good working relations with all departments at KMDSI.
- Ability to be very accurate.
- Ability to multitask while completing all assigned duties.
- Excellent team player.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Must be highly motivated and a self-starter.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Paid sick leave, vacation, and (9) holidays.
- Health benefit package to include medical, dental, and vision. (Employee-only coverage is paid at 100% upon eligibility.)
- 401 (k) plan after 1 year of employment, and eligible for profit sharing after 1 full calendar year of employment.
- $50,000.00 Company paid group life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance.
- Annual performance review.
Conditions of Employment:
- A successful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment background check.
- Assessment tests, including a job knowledge test.
Hours:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break.
