Job Summary:

Works on various Engineering projects through AutoCAD, working closely with Engineering personnel, Quality Assurance personnel, and the Parts, Fabrication & Assembly personnel.

Responsibilities:

1. All work performed on CAD/AutoCAD.
2. Help establish improvements and documentation for PF&A and Quality Assurance.
3. Completing projects within the deadline.
4. Documentation of all necessary processes that support product development, fixtures, and design fabrication.
5. Be independent in various jobs and communicate well with the Senior Engineer and other team members on deadline commitments.
6. Create Eco/Router report change, obsolete parts process, and new drawings.
7. Document control - create file folders and organize file drawers.

Education / Experience:

1. Minimum High School Diploma and 2 years' experience in a manufacturing company.
2. School or work experience in AutoCAD and/or Inventor.
3. Excel for a minimum of 2 years.
4. Experience with PTC CREO or Pro Engineer experience is a plus.
5. Skilled with measuring instruments including calipers, micrometer, indicators, gage pins, and spring tester (3D scanner, digitizing) is a plus.
6. Must be able to handle confidential information and work well in an Engineering team.
7. Knowledge in working with fiberglass material engineering is considered a plus.
8. Ability to maintain good working relations with all departments at KMDSI.
9. Ability to be very accurate.
10. Ability to multitask while completing all assigned duties.
11. Excellent team player.
12. Attention to detail is essential.
13. Must be highly motivated and a self-starter.

Compensation and Benefits:

1. Paid sick leave, vacation, and (9) holidays.
2. Health benefit package to include medical, dental, and vision. (Employee-only coverage is paid at 100% upon eligibility.)
3. 401 (k) plan after 1 year of employment, and eligible for profit sharing after 1 full calendar year of employment.
4. $50,000.00 Company paid group life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance.
5. Annual performance review.

Conditions of Employment:

1. A successful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment background check.
2. Assessment tests, including a job knowledge test.

Hours:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break.
