Position Summary:
The Wood Library-Museum of Anesthesiology (WLM), a 501(c)(3) foundation of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA), is seeking a part-time to full-time contractor to work onsite at our Schaumburg, IL location. This position offers 20-40 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months. The contractor will be responsible for:
Archives/Library (20 hours/week):
- Processing backlog of library and/or archives, including digitization
- Handling sensitive materials with prior cataloging experience required
- Familiarity with metadata and Digital Asset Management (DAM) software
- Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks
Museum (20 hours/week):
- Processing backlog of museum artifacts, donations, and non-archived boxes
- Minimum 1-2 years of museum processing experience required
- Experience with museum collection management software
- Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive work
Position Compensation: This is a non-exempt/hourly position with a target pay of $20/hour. It is not eligible for bonuses or incentives. Compensation will consider experience, skills, certifications, and organizational needs.
