The Product Design Manager leads the delivery of shipped products and has previously delivered successful work in a specific 'product area'. A Product Design Manager is comfortable managing 1-4 people and provides hands on design work for one-off projects,As a Product Design Manager in the Digital Health unit, you will join our Design and UXR team to help manage, coach, and lead a talented group of designers to drive progress and ensure our products and features are valuable, easy to use, and of the highest level of craft and execution. In this role, you will work together with your counterparts in the UX research, product management, engineering, marketing, and other disciplines to help define and execute the strategy, operations, and communications that guide the team to build innovative solutions that shape the future of Olympus software products. You will be expected to utilize your full range of skills including people management, product strategy, product design, interaction design, and visual design.**Job Duties**+ Coach, manage, and grow a talented team of product designers that consistently delivers on projects and is well-balanced across a range of design skill sets and core values.+ Oversee the user experience and design of a product(s) and features from concept to launch,+ Work strategically as a partner with product management, engineering, and design leadership to drive progress and uphold a level of quality, innovation, and craft.+ Collaborate with other leadership to contribute to the strategic direction of future Olympus products.+ Cultivate a healthy process for the team and be a key contributor to your team's success.+ Develops the process and approach for solving design problems; anticipates project problems; begins facilitating and working with a cross-functional stakeholders, brings in new patterns and practices; focuses on project planning.+ Leads their tribe in driving meaningful contribution to the stream; communicates and unifies their tribe around a product vision, delivers clear direction and feedback to designers on their tribe; effective at leading design reviews and design meetings; Provides appropriate push-back on incomplete ideas or solutions; empowers their tribe to take risks+ Mange team priorities and provide estimates, timelines, clear communication, and documentation to proactively drive projects to completion effectively and efficiently.+ Champion the design process, spanning from wireframes and user journeys to high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes.+ Ensures design cohesiveness and alignment with our design system, while making recommendations to enhance the visual impact and ease of use of the system.+ Identifies, defines, and solves strategic problems within their tribe; contributes to major design decisions and acts as a stakeholder on their tribe+ Think big and lead a team in creating divergent concepts while helping them converge and build iteratively towards a vision.+ Advocate for design by sharing the work of your team presenting cross-functionally.
