The Opportunity
We are seeking Independent Contractors specializing in Audio Visual support. The contractor will set up and operate media equipment for live events. Responsibilities include organizing and installing media equipment such as projectors, microphones, video monitors, sound boards, and scenic elements. (This is not a full-time position.)
Essential Responsibilities
- Meet with Event Coordinators to discuss audio, lighting, video, and scenic requirements.
- Set up and install microphones, lights, video monitors, projectors, speakers, and video cameras.
- Conduct sound, visual, and performance quality checks on AV equipment.
- Operate sound and visual equipment during live events.
- Troubleshoot equipment and ensure events run smoothly.
- Provide outstanding customer service to clients and venue staff.
- Work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment where input is valued.
- Vary schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours as needed.
- Protect company equipment and report damages.
- Disassemble equipment and pack up after events.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an AV technician.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- High physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment.
- Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, or lifts.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Willingness to continue learning.
- Flexibility to adapt to additional responsibilities as needed.
