Position Responsibilities:

• Produce digital and social content, including copy and video.
• Research, report, write, and edit stories for web and other digital platforms.
• Oversee and improve daily digital content to increase user engagement and traffic, especially in the local DMA.
• Curate high-interest local content to maximize engagement and repeat visits.
• Review and correct content for errors, ensuring adherence to editorial standards.
• Train and manage a team of digital journalists.
• Analyze website analytics to inform audience growth strategies.
• Work with the news director to develop strategies for platform growth and engagement.
• Meet local site KPI goals.
• Promote news content on social media.
• Coordinate between digital and broadcast newsrooms.
• Market digital content to build brand recognition and drive viewers to TV.
• Monitor media for breaking news and trending stories to boost engagement.
• Respond to feedback positively.
• Maintain schedule flexibility, including nights and weekends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
