Music Director London & South East Organisation: Winchester City Festival Choir
Music Director required for the friendly, well-established Winchester City Festival Choir from September 2024.
Winchester City Festival Choir is a non-auditioned SATB choir, based in Littleton near Winchester. We are seeking an enthusiastic new Music Director (MD) with effect from 1 September 2024. This is a remunerated position with rehearsals each Wednesday evening from 7.45 to 9.30 during usual school term dates.
We are a two-term choir with an optional extension for members, as well as newcomers to join our summer sing for around 6 weeks at the end of May. WCFC performs two concerts each year around January and then during May, collaborating with the Hampshire Choral Festival, where you will find supportive colleagues. An informal Christmas concert is also usually held at our rehearsal hall in Littleton. Our rehearsal accompanist is a professional musician who has supported the choir for over 15 years.
