About the role
Illinois Farm Bureau, parent company to COUNTRY Financial, seeks a Digital News Editor to lead the organization's digital news efforts through FarmWeekNow.com, a daily e-newsletter and social media channels. You'll join a talented, fun group of journalists who work hard to provide information to Illinois farmers.
How does this role make an impact?
Update FarmWeekNow.com website with at least six new stories, videos and audio clips daily Manage editorial content calendar and content management system Write and publish daily e-newsletter Monday-Friday Promote stories and grow social media followers through engaging, timely posts on Facebook and X. Write and edit articles for web and/or print when needed Stay updated on issues and news impacting agriculture Collaborates with staff throughout IFB to coordinate coverage.
Do you have what we're looking for?
Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
- Normal office environment. - Extensive computer work. - Regular travel throughout the Illinois and occasional travel out of state required. - Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
Base Pay Range:
$60,000-$82,500
The base pay range represents the typical range of potential salary offers for candidates hired. Factors used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, qualifications and experience.
Incentive Pay:
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a Short-Term Incentive plan.
