DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Marketing and Communications Manager at Yuma will drive the company’s brand strategy, communications, and marketing efforts, positioning Yuma as a leader in decentralized AI and blockchain innovation. This role will be pivotal in enhancing Yuma’s brand reputation, overseeing its presence across social and digital channels, and fostering relationships with media, influencers, and the broader community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing, communications, and public relations, with the ability to develop a strong brand, craft compelling narratives, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Leadership
Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy aligned with Yuma’s business goals.
Position Yuma as a thought leader within the decentralized AI community through innovative branding and content strategies.
Serve as the company’s primary communications leader, representing Yuma in media, public engagements, and digital platforms.
Manage Yuma’s website, social media accounts, and external-facing content to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Oversee relationships with external agencies, ensuring the delivery of impactful campaigns and content.
Community Engagement and Events
Establish Yuma as a thought leader within the Bittensor ecosystem by fostering engagement in community forums, events, and initiatives.
Actively participate in the Bittensor, blockchain, and AI community through events, forums, and partnerships.
Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, influencers, and strategic partners.
Lead sponsorships, speaking engagements, and other event-related activities to increase Yuma’s visibility and credibility.
Content and Campaign Management
Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, media kits, and corporate announcements.
Manage all external-facing platforms, including the Yuma website and social media accounts, ensuring consistency with brand strategy.
Work collaboratively with Yuma leaders to refine and articulate the company’s mission, vision, and value proposition.
Create compelling content, including blogs, thought leadership articles, and social media posts, to elevate Yuma’s voice in the industry.
Ensure all content aligns with Yuma’s tone and reflects its position as a leader in innovation.
Insights and Collaboration
Conduct market research to identify trends and customer insights specific to the decentralized AI and blockchain industry.
Collaborate with Yuma leadership, technical, and business development teams to align marketing initiatives with product and partnership goals.
Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure marketing materials meet regulatory requirements.
Leverage access to technical experts to ensure accuracy and depth in all communications while fostering a personal interest in the space for continued learning.
Performance and Budget Management
Track, measure, and report on the effectiveness of campaigns, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation and maximizing ROI.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum 7 years in a marketing communications or public relations role with demonstrated leadership experience.
Proven experience in fast-growth, scaling startups.
Proven track record of building and executing successful marketing and communications strategies in the emerging technologies space.
Experience distilling technical or complex subject matter into digestible content and narratives.
Exceptional digital marketing skills, including proficiency with tools like Webflow, HubSpot, Google Analytics, and CRM platforms.
Strong media relations skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with journalists and secure positive media coverage.
Expertise in managing social media platforms and community engagement, including content creation, platform management, and experience with graphic design, video editing, and production as a bonus.
Strong collaboration and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
Passion for decentralized AI, blockchain, and emerging technologies, with a willingness to continuously deepen technical knowledge.
Experience working with external agencies and cross-functional teams, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
Direct experience working in the blockchain, crypto, or decentralized AI ecosystem.
Demonstrated success scaling marketing efforts in a high-growth startup environment.
Active participation or presence in blockchain and crypto communities.
The salary range for this role is $175,000-$235,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This range only includes base compensation and does not include other tangible benefits such as 401K match, bonuses, overtime pay, and other benefits.
