Position Summary: As a Principal UX Designer for Display Ads, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Walmart Connect's Display Ad platform. This platform enables Walmart suppliers and sellers to run high-performing ad campaigns targeting precise audiences at scale—while helping shoppers discover products that enhance their shopping journey. Your role will focus on transforming complex workflows into intuitive, user-friendly experiences that drive both customer satisfaction and business growth. What you'll do: Design best-in-class product experiences with a focus on visual design and information architecture. Lead and manage diverse initiatives, adapting to shifting priorities and timelines. Define experience strategy and set design direction to meet user and business needs. Collaborate with design research to craft insightful, data-driven solutions. Balance user needs with business goals to deliver impactful results. Rapidly prototype and experiment in a fast-paced environment. Champion Design Thinking across the organization. Communicate with empathy and clarity, aligning stakeholders and teams around a shared vision. Foster collaboration, elevating your team’s skills and design outcomes. Partner with the Design System team to create scalable and consistent experiences. You will sweep us off our feet if you have: A high bar for quality and a passion for excellence in design. The ability to iterate quickly and explore a variety of design solutions. A knack for balancing multiple projects and priorities with efficiency. Exceptional communication and storytelling skills to articulate problems and solutions effectively. Proactivity in identifying potential challenges and addressing them before escalation. Comfort navigating ambiguity, embracing constraints, and discovering opportunities. A growth mindset and curiosity, always seeking to learn and improve. Strong time management, stakeholder management, and project management skills. Experience mentoring designers and leading by example. Interest or experience in advertising, ad tech, eCommerce, or retail. Preferred qualifications: Degree in Product Design, UX, Interaction Design, HCI, or a related field. At least 7+ years of experience in UX or product design. A fantastic portfolio showcasing thoughtful and impactful design solutions. Exceptional interaction design, visual design, and typography skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Minimum Qualifications: Option 1: Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 5 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area. Option 2: 7 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
