Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic Marketing Specialist to support our overall marketing efforts. You will play a key role in developing and executing marketing plans to increase engagement and awareness of Wave Hill, its exhibitions, and its educational and public programs. Working closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications and other departments, you will oversee the day-to-day production of various projects, including e-blasts, website content, mailers, signage, and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams to align marketing strategies with institutional goals.
- Oversee daily promotions of calendar events, ensuring timely and engaging communications across multiple channels, including the website, email marketing, mailers, digital, and social media.
- Develop an email calendar, track and analyze performance, and create reports and recommendations for department heads and stakeholders.
- Maintain the events calendar on the Wave Hill website and ensure all events are featured broadly and consistently in external event listings, press, and with partner organizations.
- Collaborate with external partners on event listings, social media, communications, and promotions to expand reach.
- Manage seasonal updates to wavehill.org and assist in regular maintenance and design.
- Produce printed materials, including brochures, mailers, invitations, direct mail, informational pieces, and stationery as needed.
- Photograph and video the gardens and programs throughout the seasons, working with external photographers as needed.
- Draft press releases for distribution
- Assist with media monitoring, produce regular media reports, and share relevant media coverage with internal stakeholders.
- Research press leads and gather new contacts through stakeholders.
- Analyze marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic, etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies.
- Undertake individual tasks of a marketing plan as assigned.
- Maintain a flexible schedule, with some weekend and evening event/program attendance required.
Salary and Schedule:
This full-time position requires 35 hours per week, with occasionalevening/weekend events. The salary is $60K. The benefits package includes major medical, dental, vision, 401K, pension, vacation, sick and personal days.
The hiring salary range is dependent on the scope of work and responsibilities of the position. Salaries offered to candidates are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, skills, training and certifications, education, and other factors in addition to the scope of responsibilities of the specific position.
