Social Media Associate

70 Faces Media is the largest and most vibrant Jewish media organization in North America, reaching millions of people each month through our brands — including My Jewish Learning, The Nosher, Kveller, Hey Alma, JTA, and New York Jewish Week. We’re looking for a creative, collaborative, and extremely online Social Media Associate to help shape and grow the social presence of two of our flagship brands: My Jewish Learning and The Nosher. 

My Jewish Learning helps people discover — and rediscover — what Jewish life can look like today: personal, relevant and rich with meaning. The Nosher celebrates Jewish food in all of its forms: how to make it, where to eat it and the stories behind every recipe.

In this role, you’ll be part strategist, part creator and part community-builder — helping us tell meaningful Jewish stories and spark conversations with hundreds of thousands of engaged followers across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and beyond. 

What you’ll do:

• Craft smart, compelling and scroll-stopping content for My Jewish Learning and The Nosher’s social channels 
• Stay on top of digital trends and Jewish conversations to keep us fresh, relevant and in the mix 
• Turn articles, recipes, ideas and traditions into engaging and visually compelling formats — memes, reels, stories and more 
• Respond to and engage with our communities in productive ways to build authentic relationships and loyal followings 
• Collaborate with editorial, design and fellow social media editors to brainstorm new ideas and amplify the best of what we do 
• Experiment, track and optimize based on performance 

You’re a good fit for this role if you: 

• Have experience creating for and managing social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.) 
• Can shoot and edit short-form video (think recipe demos or explainer clips) 
• Have an eye for design and know how to create original visuals that pop, with experience using tools like Canva, Photoshop and CapCut 
• Are a natural storyteller, with excellent writing chops and a voice that can shift between smart, funny and heartfelt 
• Love working on a team and bringing creative ideas to the table 
• Are passionate about Jewish food, culture, history, religion and tradition — and want to help more people connect with them online 
• Are fluent in internet humor (after all, our audiences love to laugh)
