Position SummaryVirginia Green is currently seeking a paid Marketing Intern in Richmond, Virginia. The ideal candidate is entering their junior or senior year and is a marketing/advertising, visual communications/design, or public relations major. The intern can expect to be involved in all areas of internal and external marketing development, involved in internal and external meetings including working with our advertising agency and providing support for social and philanthropic campaigns.
Primary Responsibilities•Support strategic development and execution of internal and external marketing efforts•Work with the Marketing Coordinator to monitor all social media channels - working with outside partner to deliver new and engaging content, measure effectiveness and make on-going recommendations•Assist with tracking and reporting of all internal efforts to help refine and improve efforts on-going•Help to keep website current, relevant and information accurate (working with other departments)•Assist with marketing events and activities
Required Qualifications / Attributes•Interpersonal and communication skills•Strong organizational skills - detailed oriented•Knowledge of social networking channels•Familiar with CRM databases•Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint•Working knowledge of web site design and development a plus•Knowledge of Google Analytics a plus
Education and Experience•Must be a current college student in good standing: Marketing, Advertising or Communications majors preferred.Minimum Physical Requirements•Walking, standing, bending, reaching, and twisting•Ability to use computer keyboard and monitor for extended periods•Ability to lift approximately 15-20 lbs.
