** C4 EVENT PLANNER****Department of Defense**** Joint Force Development (J7)****Location**1 vacancy in the following location:+ **Duties**As a C4 EVENT PLANNER at the GS-0301-12/13 some of your typical work assignments may include:* Designs and implements Command, Control, Communications, and Computer (C4) architectures to support JS J7 Joint and Coalition training exercises.* Ensures that the C4 architectures are robust while having the flexibility to be reconfigured quickly to support emergent requirements.* During exercises, serves as the technical director for the Joint Exercise Control Group (JECG) and provides management oversight of the military, contractor and governmental matrixed team that establishes and provides reliable C4 systems to the JS J7 training staff and joint, Service and coalition exercise training audiences both in garrison and to deployed austere environments.* Manages the communication systems, equipment, and personnel during the execution phase of JS J7-sponsored exercises.* Provides technical advice and assistance in the formulation, establishment, and/or analysis of plans, programs and policies, and participates in the resolution of problems on complex, controversial, or precedent-setting matters applicable to joint C4 operations**Requirements**** Conditions of Employment*** Must be a U.S. citizen* Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service* Resume and supporting documents (See How To Apply)* Suitable for Federal employment, determined by a background investigation* May be required to successfully complete a probationary period* Work Schedule: Full Time* Overtime: Occasionally* Tour of Duty: Flexible* Recruitment Incentives: May be Authorized* Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA): Exempt* Financial Disclosure: Not Required* Telework Eligibility: This position is NOT telework eligible* COVID19: Please see, additional information.* This is a drug testing designated position* Employee must obtain/maintain a Special Sensitive (Top Secret/SCI) security clearance** Qualifications**You may qualify at the GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service:* Participating in C4 planning efforts related to joint training exercises* Applying technical knowledge of C4 processes to assist in the execution of joint training exercises* Assisting with the design and implementation of C4 architectures to support joint training exercisesYou may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:* Leading the C4 planning efforts related to joint training exercises* Applying technical knowledge of C4 processes to lead the execution of joint training exercises* Designing and implementing C4 architectures to support joint training exercisesExperience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
