Job Description

The Graphic Designer / Content Developer shall provide support to facilitate oral and written communications requirements for the Client with other Government elements, foreign partners, the private sector, and the public. The Graphic Designer / Content Developer shall support the development, preparation, production, coordination, and editing of a range of products that may include finished intelligence products, strategy and planning documents, talking points, speeches, digital interactive products, graphics, presentations, booklets, mobile products, and impermanent/permanent web content for the Client and its directorates, centers, oversight offices, and offices. The Graphic Designer / Content Developer shall assist and collaborate in developing communications standards, guidelines, and processes; streamlining and improving communications standards; reviewing and evaluating the effectiveness of communications initiatives; and composing, coordinating, and consolidating recurring reports and work products. The Graphic Designer / Content Developer shall work with the Government to ensure all communication support activities are consistent with Section 508 accessibility standards.

Content Developer (Senior)Leads support to the Client in the creation, maintenance, and improvement of web content, including social media presenceMentors and trains junior staffUtilizes request management tools such as NarQuest to provide swift, high quality customer support for communication requestsCoordinates with Knowledge Management as needed for publication of web contentCoordinates with UI/UX designer and Knowledge Management to ensure web content provides an engaging and user-friendly experienceDevelops, manages, and publishes SOPs related to documentation and editingCollaborates in the creation, maintenance, and improvement of web contentMakes recommendations for improving web content accessibility for stakeholdersMaintains internal and external website content and social media presenceMaintains blogs, wiki, and Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feeds in both classified and unclassified environmentsLeads with developing, distributing, and disseminating electronic intelligence publications, to include creating and posting Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) versions on classified websites across multiple networksLeads communications strategies, writes and updates web content, including newsletters, blog posts, and announcementsPrepares responses to inquiries concerning the organization's public websites and social media postsManages and maintains the organization's digital presence, including content strategy and development and website managementGraphic Designer (Journeyman)

Supports the Client to develop graphics, digital media, cartography, and other multimedia productsUtilizes request management tools such as NarQuest to provide swift, high quality customer support for communication requestsCoordinates with UI/UX designer and Knowledge Management, to ensure graphics products provide an engaging and user-friendly experienceCreates graphic designs for variety of written and digital productsAssists in developing design concepts and implementing designs for new web pages, mobile applications, newsletters, ads, infographics, banners, illustrations, logos, and other types of digital content that will be presented onlineProvides design services, including website graphics, social media graphics, HTML newsletter graphics, and support for print projectsEnsures products conform to all production standards, copywrite laws, accessibility compliance requirements, public release clearancesConducts technical quality checksManages an approved concept and builds it in HTML/CSS so it complies with responsive design principlesProvides Cartography support, as needed, to design thematic and reference mapsQualifications

Required Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

BA/BS

and 3+ years of experience or

no degree

and 9+ years of experienceStrong working knowledge of relevant MS applications, including VisioProven development of innovative and impactful solutionsExtensive experience with supporting the development, preparation, production, coordination, and editing of a range of productsHighly proficient technical writing capability is desiredDesired Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

Ability to understand U.S. Federal Government business needs, with strong analytical and organizational skills.
