Customer Facing Responsibilities:

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the development and growth of positive relationships with all major national and regional accounts. You will provide continuous updates to support an informed and knowledgeable sales organization. From time to time you will be responsible for presenting assortment and pricing information to customers.

Added Role Responsibilities:

As a Product Marketing Manager focused on products for our Best Buy client you will responsible for managing the overall channel and go-to market schedules for the TV business in the United States, supporting key Samsung brand goals for:

O Sales

O Profit

O Market Share

O Price Positioning (API)

O Forecast accuracy

O Inventory level

Forecasting:

You will become an expert at collaborative forecasting by fully understanding the input from the Sales team and the upcoming market conditions. You will prepare weekly unit forecasts (AP2) based on analysis of channel inventory, sell-through history, future promotions, competitive activity, and seasonality by model and by key account. In order to do this, you will work closely with Sales Operations staff, assisting in weekly sales forecast and product allocations.

Competitive Analysis:

In this role you will assess competitive initiatives and provide appropriate

competitive responses. This will include continually researching the market environment, including retail positioning of product, and market trends such as product positioning, key features, and benefits. In addition you will monitor competitive pricing and trends in the market.

Projects:

You will coordinate new model launch plans, ensuring smooth transition and fast ramp-up for new offerings each year. You will work closely with the Demand Generation group to direct creation of marketing materials, collateral sales support materials, training materials, and online assets.

Culture Requirements:

The TV team is a very collaborative group that is poised to help usher in the future of Samsung. This group is extremely collaborative and hard-working. We require a person who requires little supervision and can navigate complex organizations. Excellent communication skills are a must. It is critical that you can work with cross-functional Samsung teams to create, update, and drive product launches for all new products assigned.

Skills And Qualifications

Skills and Qualification Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience in consumer product marketing required; MBA preferredPrevious Best Buy account experience and/or consumer electronics industry experience preferredPrior experience in a previous role type where taking initiative and execution were critical to driving business resultsAdvanced Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel)Advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, v-look ups, etc.)Necessary Skills/Attributes: Solid negotiation, leadership, and professional presentation skills requiredStrong financial analysis and simulation skills requiredAbility to build and maintain relationships, with both customer and internally, at all levelsThe ability to plan, organize, and prioritize simultaneous projects/reports is requiredExperience working with online and big-box CE retailers preferredTravel once per quarter required
