Our Client, a Public Utility that provides natural gas and electricity to the majority of Michigan's 10 million residents is seeking a talented and self-driven individual for needs serving in the role of Social Media Analyst .

A social media analyst is a professional responsible for monitoring, measuring, and analyzing social media trends and strategies to maximize the online presence and performance of a company, organization, or individual. They provide valuable insights and recommendations based on their analysis to enhance social media engagement and achieve marketing objectives.

Responsibilities Monitoring and analyzing social media trends, strategies, and activities to identify opportunities for increasing brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales. Collecting and interpreting data from various social media platforms to assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives. Creating comprehensive reports and presentations that communicate key findings, trends, and recommendations to the management team or clients. Conducting competitive analysis to benchmark the company's social media performance against industry standards and identify areas for improvement. Collaborating with the marketing and communication teams to develop and implement effective social media strategies aligned with overall business goals. Utilizing social media analytics tools to track metrics such as reach, engagement, conversion rates, and customer demographics. Identifying and implementing new trends and best practices in social media marketing to optimize the company's online presence. Monitoring social media conversations and responding to customer inquiries, comments, and complaints in a timely and professional manner. Staying updated with the latest developments in social media platforms, algorithms, and technologies to ensure the implementation of cutting-edge strategies. Working with cross-functional teams to integrate social media insights into broader marketing and business strategies. Job Requirements

Skills

Bachelor's degree in business communication, public relations, marketing, advertising, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in social media analysis, preferably within the same industry or a related field. Proficiency in using social media analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar platforms. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights. Excellent communication and presentation skills for conveying findings and recommendations to various stakeholders. Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices for optimizing social media content. Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop innovative social media strategies. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Knowledge of advertising and branding principles to align social media efforts with overall marketing goals. A proactive and adaptable approach to keep up with the rapidly changing social media landscape.
