Our Client, a Public Utility that provides natural gas and electricity to the majority of Michigan's 10 million residents is seeking a talented and self-driven individual for needs serving in the role of Social Media Analyst .

A social media analyst is a professional responsible for monitoring, measuring, and analyzing social media trends and strategies to maximize the online presence and performance of a company, organization, or individual. They provide valuable insights and recommendations based on their analysis to enhance social media engagement and achieve marketing objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Monitoring and analyzing social media trends, strategies, and activities to identify opportunities for increasing brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales.
  • Collecting and interpreting data from various social media platforms to assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Creating comprehensive reports and presentations that communicate key findings, trends, and recommendations to the management team or clients.
  • Conducting competitive analysis to benchmark the company's social media performance against industry standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborating with the marketing and communication teams to develop and implement effective social media strategies aligned with overall business goals.
  • Utilizing social media analytics tools to track metrics such as reach, engagement, conversion rates, and customer demographics.
  • Identifying and implementing new trends and best practices in social media marketing to optimize the company's online presence.
  • Monitoring social media conversations and responding to customer inquiries, comments, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Staying updated with the latest developments in social media platforms, algorithms, and technologies to ensure the implementation of cutting-edge strategies.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to integrate social media insights into broader marketing and business strategies.
Job Requirements

Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in business communication, public relations, marketing, advertising, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in social media analysis, preferably within the same industry or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using social media analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
