Church Music Director

St. Mary Parish in Woodstock is looking to hire a part time Music Director. The following are the duties and responsibilities of this position:

Schedule cantors and accompanists

Choose music for all Masses both traditional and contemporary

Coordinate with brides to plan wedding music

Work with the Liturgist to communicate any changes as needed

Establish and grow choirs (adult and children)

Responsible for musical leadership at all weekend liturgies (keyboard, vocal and choral needs)

Attend meetings with the pastor as needed

Successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:

Choral conducting experience and proficiency with piano

Ability to pass background check which may include fingerprinting, drug testing, and credit history

Outstanding communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities

Degree in music or liturgy or related field preferred

Knowledge of Catholic Mass and Liturgy

Salary commensurate with education and experience
