Marketing and Family Resource VISTA
LifeBridge serves Bridgeport, CT the largest and one of the most underserved communities in Connecticut. The project will address the needs of our Urban Scholars so they can thrive. The project will also include community families, so families can better support their children. The goal is to increase the resilience of both youth and families. The Marketing and Family Resource VISTA member will focus on marketing LifeBridge and our impact to internal and external audiences as well as establishing new and strengthening existing partnerships for Urban Scholars and the Community Closet (including the Diaper Distribution program). The target population speaks primarily English and Spanish.
Member Duties :
The Marketing and Family Resource VISTA member has the following objectives: 1. Develop marketing pieces in English and Spanish to use with our families and partners to highlight the work of Urban Scholars and the Community Closet. 2.Promote LifeBridge within the community. 3. Establish new and strengthen existing partnerships. 4. Work with Community Closet/Volunteer Management VISTA to manage Diaper Bank services. 5. Work with VISTA member team to direct the overall project with input from the community and target population. 6.Develop at least six program opportunities reflecting identified community needs to help increase family resiliency. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday (occasional evenings and weekends). The school year hours can be flexible but are usually 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. On the third Friday of the month the hours are 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM due to Diaper Bank. The summer hours are 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
