Overview:

**This Marketing Associate

position is a salaried, exempt position. Starting pay based on experience and education levels. Typical working hours for the position are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Candidates for this position must reside in the Northwest Ohio Region or be willing to relocate to the area.

The Marketing Associate position is eligible for an attractive benefit package on the 90th day of employment. Benefits include 401k with company match and full medical, dental, and vision insurance package.

Job Purpose:

This Marketing Associate is responsible for print & digital layout production for publications using predetermined templates, Adobe InDesign, and the Easy Catalog plugin. Knowledge and operation of in-house digital printers is a must. The Associate needs to be comfortable demonstrating quilting and sewing techniques for product videos. An awareness of current sewing and quilting trends and the ability to write content for the shop owner audience are important.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare files for print and electronic useOperate and maintain Richo and Canon digital printersBe the main point of contact with software support and printer issuesReview, proofread, and edit new pattern submissions for accuracy, content, flow, and brandingSew samples as needed to verify instructions or for in-house/show displaysCreate/edit images for patterns as neededCreate content for product videos on how-to, product, and class programsFollow branding standards and Checker specifications for video, photography, and printContinual education to learn and stay current on technologyRequirements

Quilting knowledge, with good pattern reading and comprehension is a MUST.Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat and ability to learn or have working skills using the Easy Catalog plugin for InDesignAbility to learn our online pattern submission templatePreferred associate degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Business, Sales, or related fieldPreferred 2+ years experience in project coordination/management in an agency or in-house Marketing DepartmentOther Skills:

Technical and creative writing skills, with knowledge of grammar, proofreading, and editingWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word and ExcelWorking knowledge of Google Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Docs, and CalendarFamiliarity with both Mac and PC operating systemsGood math skillsExcellent time management skills; able to work under pressure and handle tight deadlinesSelf-motivated, confident, energetic and creativeEffective communication skills, both verbal and writtenTeam player with the ability to be flexibleFamiliar with social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, PinterestAbility to multi-task and good organization skills are essential
