We are actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Trade & Sales Marketing Manager to join our team at Windstar Cruises. This individual will play a crucial role in crafting and conveying the Windstar brand and voyage promotions to North American consortia media, national accounts, and the broader travel advisor community. The Trade & Sales Marketing Manager will serve as the primary liaison between the Marketing and Sales departments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. This position can be based in Miami with a hybrid office model.
Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy and PlanningDevelop a comprehensive understanding of consortia media kits and supplier tools.Collaborate with the Windstar sales team to create annual marketing plans for consortia organizations and key accounts.Assist in the development of trade advertising plans to enhance Windstar's market presence.Monitor and analyze the performance of national account and consortia programs, optimizing content and strategies based on key performance indicators.Campaign Development and Execution
Create and communicate trade voyage promotions and advertising campaigns through various trade media venues, both print and digital.Work closely with Revenue Management to formulate trade offers for consortia and key account campaigns.Collaborate with FIT and Charter & Incentive sales teams to identify and produce print and digital collateral materials.Communication and Coordination
Act as the liaison between Marketing and the Windstar Sales team, ensuring consistent branding, strategy, and approach in all trade communications and marketing efforts.Develop and maintain a calendar/schedule to ensure internal alignment on trade/consortia/travel agent initiatives with overall company marketing objectives and consumer advertising.Manage and update Windstar's trade websites, including the Travel Advisor Hub.Plan and execute Windstar's internal and external email marketing campaigns targeting travel agents.Ensure proactive communication of consumer marketing promotions to the trade in advance.Content Creation and Management
Develop marketing and execution content for national account and consortia programs, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and strategic objectives.Produce the monthly agent email newsletter "Trade Winds" in collaboration with the VP of Sales.Manage Windstar Cruises training programs, including regular updates of the Star Specialist Academy.Create trade campaign assets and sales collateral, encompassing print ads, digital banners, partner marketing pieces, presentations/webinars, and social media posts.Support the sales team by providing marketing collateral needs for trade sales events, ensuring they have the necessary materials to effectively promote Windstar's offerings.Proofread all trade communications, including trade emails on behalf of the sales team.Update Windstar's Travel Advisor Guide annually in conjunction with the Sales team.Budgeting and Forecasting
Assist in trade and consortia marketing accruals and budget forecasting.Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years of related travel or marketing experience.Team-oriented with strong customer service and relationship management skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Strong project management skills with the ability to identify, prioritize, and execute tasks to meet critical project deadlines.Highly organized with strong attention to detail.Works effectively with minimal supervision, adhering to overall company policies.Proficient with Microsoft applications, particularly Word and Excel.Understanding of basic web design/HTML coding to update trade-facing websites and landing pages via a CMS.
