SummaryDesign Professional II Non-licensed architecture staff having completed a minimum of six years of architecture related experience. Fully competent in all aspects of architecture. Responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned major project, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions that best meets the client's needs. Provides professional architectural consultation on large complex projects. Independently applies advanced architectural concepts and designs. Executes complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.

As a salaried, exempt employee, you will also be eligible for the NAC quarterly bonus plan which is based on company financials and personal performance.

Salary range for this position is from $83,550 to $95,550 depending on experience.

Requirements

Independently produces finished plans, specifications and approval of materials and construction on moderate to large scale projectsProvide professional consultation and coordination of the planning and development of construction and design document production and provides technical expertise to ensure coordinated and high-quality documentsPerform construction administration duties, such as site visits, RFI responses, submittals, and punch list reviewsCreate and review projects reports, estimates, calculations, specifications, and compile/analyze relevant dataResponsible to monitor billing efficiency rates and work at maximizing team's quality and efficiency in assigned tasksProactively coordinates meetings with client, project team, consultants, and contractor meetings to ensure trust and confidenceProvide technical guidance to less experienced project associates and internsInvolve explorations of subject area, definition of scope, selection of items for investigation, and development of complex or novel concepts and methodsContribute innovative design ideas that consistently capture the intended design visionContribute to bold design solutions that balance scale, aesthetics, and context to maximize the impact to the individual and communityCompetencies:

Proficiency in Revit requiredProficiency with Adobe Creative Suites required (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)Proficiency with Sketchup and Rhino preferred. Lumion, Enscape, and V-Ray is a plusStrong working knowledge of zoning and building codes, specifications, building /engineering systems and agency requirements (NFPA, ADAAG, FGI, OBC, IBC etc)Possess a balanced blend of design and technical skillsKnowledge in the design process, construction documentation and construction administrationOutstanding verbal and written communication skillsAbility to meet schedule deadlines and work within the client's budgetExcellent organization and client presentation skillsPassion for providing exceptional client serviceCollaborative and professional work ethicCertification Requirements

This position operates in a professional open office environment with low to moderate noise levels including collaborative work areas for team meetings. Each office location has a workstation for scanning/ photocopying and a cafe for dining. Building construction sites may include varying temperatures, wind, dust, and noise levels and may include hazardous and dirty conditions.Physical Demands

Salary Description

$83,550 to $95,550 depending on experience.
