DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Duties * Prepares planning, design, and construction documents including code analysis documents, studies, reports, sketches, schematic drawings, renderings, specifications, final contract documents, and as-built drawings. * Creates graphics for presentation and marketing purposes. * Along with the project architect and other design professional, communicates with clients to establish project scope of work, building program needs, project schedule and budgets. * Works with senior architects, architects and with clients to determine functional and spatial requirements of new structure or renovation, and prepares information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time. * Performs research pertaining to project conformance related to codes, zoning, building standards, and industry practices. * With senior architects plans layout of project and integrates architectural elements into unified design for client review and approval. * Prepares scale drawings and contract documents for construction. * Assists in the administration of construction contracts and conducts periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans. * Prepares operating and maintenance manuals, studies, and reports. * Prepares project designs and plans using computer assisted design software and equipment. * Prefer working knowledge of current industry software including Revit and BIM.

Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Experience 3-5 years related experience

Education BS in Architecture, preferred or revelant design degree will be considered

Licenses/Registrations Must be engaged in architecture internship program (AXP) documenting skills required to take the national Architecture Registration Exam.

COMPENSATION The National salary range for this position is $64,470- $93,095. The actual salary offered will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate, and relative to salary ranges in the offering office.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION * BS/BA Architecture; Bachelor of Architecture; or MS/MA Architecture (4-6 year degree); relevant design degree will be considered * 0-3 years of experience in the design and documentation of architecture projects, including well-developed skills in three-dimensional visualization and compreh nsive building design * Working knowledge of current industry software including Revit and BIM preferred * Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite * Experience with graphics/rendering software (SketchUp, Adobe, 3D Max, Maya, Rhino, etc.) to quickly and effectively communicate is preferred * Organized and confident; design talent, graphic presentation and effective visual/verbal communication skills are essential; proficient understanding of inter-relationships among design/engineering disciplines, clients, and constructors * Ability to work independently and collaboratively * Excellent English language skills, written and verbal, are essential
