Responsible for creating schematics that exhibit the detail and method of assembly for a variety of machinery and mechanical devices.
Use computer-aided drafting (CAD) software to create design elements.
Develop detailed designs for mechanical equipment and controls.Provide details on component descriptions.Resolve design problems.Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery.Draft technical details.Draw in minute details of structures.Consult technical handbooks and tables while in drafting phase.Use Computer Aided Design and Drafting systems to prepare drawings.Create and store drawings electronically.Prepare engineering drawings that detail plans and specifications.
Skills & Requirements
* Two Year college degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Technical or vactional training in drafting technology.
* Must have strong verbal, visual and written communication skills.
* Proficiency with a personal computer and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access) is required
* Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
* Team-based and fast paced work environment
