About our Intern Program

During this paid 10-week internship, you’ll develop technical skills through meaningful project work and unique learning experiences. Work with our team of Sr. Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, and Managers on building new products and experiences for LegalZoom customers.

Our interns will connect and engage with senior leaders from across the business and be paired with a mentor for a more meaningful experience. Attend fun team building and professional workshops and brown bags.

This internship is a hybrid position, meaning you’ll work from home and in the office. Our offices are in Mountain View and Glendale, CA, so applicants must live within the LA Metro, SF Bay Area or within New York City, NY.

Overview

This role will be an exciting opportunity to be an early learning Product Design Intern and be a part of a team that creates stellar data-driven and user-centric solutions. You will be responsible for supporting and improving the design system work for our design team by contributing to existing components and documenting use cases.

In addition, you will work with other product designers, researchers, business stakeholders, and software engineers to discover different approaches to solving a user’s problem while also considering business goals and technical constraints. You will have an opportunity to contribute to creating user workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and low/high fidelity mockups.

Actively pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Design, ideally with a focus in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or Product Design.

Bachelor's degrees in computer science and IT-related fields will also be considered.Familiar with design software such as Figma, Adobe tools, and SketchHave a product design portfolio with case studies and/or student projectsStrong understanding of product design principles and methodologiesExperience conducting usability studies and assisting with user researchFamiliarity with designing for web applications and or native mobile applications with specific understanding of how different design patterns are used across different operating systems (iOS vs Android vs Web design)Strong communication and presentation skillsSelf-motivated and results-orientedAbility to interact with cross-functional teamsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsRemote Employees should confirm that the internet service available has adequate bandwidth to support all work processes

LegalZoom is a remote-first company and the national range for this role is ($38.93 - $47.48 per hour). The actual compensation offered will depend on geographic location.
