The Communications Systems Designer will be involved in the entire project process including, but not limited to, scope definition/proposal development, initial assessments, concept creation, design, calculations, drawing production, editing specifications, and construction administration
Responsibilities:
The candidate should have a passion for delivering high-quality solutions as our client's best partnerDesign will include, but not be limited to, telecommunications/structured cabling, technology space planning, pathway infrastructure, equipment selectionCreate detailed design drawings, specifications, narratives, and other relevant documentation in accordance with industry standards, codes, and owner project requirementsCollaborate with clients, architects, engineers, project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project executionBe responsible for all aspects of the communications design with minimal supervisionProvide training, guidance and development to technical support team members as neededRequired Qualifications & Experience:
This role requires in-depth knowledge of industry standards, codes, and best practices related to communications systems designRCDD certification is requiredMinimum 5 years actively designing communications systems for buildings in the AEC industry is requiredBachelor's degree in engineering or technology related degree OR 7 years of active design experience in communications systems for buildings is requiredUnderstanding of and experience editing Division 27 specifications is requiredKnowledge and understanding of industry codes and standards including ANSI/TIA and BICSI is requiredStrong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills requiredExperience in Revit or AutoCAD is requiredPerks & Benefits:
