Position Purpose

This position fulfills one of the primary roles on the marketing team, with multidisciplinary responsibilities that span content and brand marketing, trade show / industry association support, thought leadership, social media outreach, and internal communications. This role is envisioned for a mid-level professional, seeking to work on a collaborative team, who considers themselves a strong writer with an interest in working in tandem with the vice president of business development in the production of content, campaigns, proposals, and other outreach/activities related to the firm’s core business lines and targeted audiences. The ideal candidate possesses a drive to learn and innovate within a collaborative team environment, with touchpoints across the entire firm.

Position Responsibilities

  • Initiate marketing campaigns aligned with the firm’s primary industries/lines of business as well as new lines of business.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing collateral, including brochures, case studies, presentations, by-lined articles, speeches, etc.
  • Implement social media and e-mail marketing strategies/campaigns.
  • Collaborate (and initiate) with project staff on the writing and production of articles, newsletters, and other thought leadership pieces.
  • Drive consistency in branding using written communications and graphic templates and standards.
  • Execute/oversee general marketing administrative projects and duties as assigned.
  • Identify new opportunities for the company website to reflect brand messaging and target audiences/industries.
  • Oversee tracking systems for marketing campaigns and CRM activities.
  • Work with business development team on highlighting firm’s differentiators for new business opportunities.
  • Oversee internal communication and culture building efforts to connect employees across the country.
  • Support the business development team in the production of tailored proposals and interview materials.
  • Initiate and nurture relationships with third parties (trade groups, potential teaming partners, other influencers).
  • Explore opportunities for new ways to provide value to the Marketing team and the firm.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in roles with increasing responsibility.
  • Marketing experience required, preferably with a focus on professional services and/or B2B.
  • Confidence to engage with, and manage, senior executives on marketing related functions and activities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (in order of importance: InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Graphic design skills a plus
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and persistent attitude
