Your Opportunity at ARC'TERYX:

As the Community Marketing Manager for Boston you will drive the brand presence in your region through community marketing: sponsorship, social media, events, product seeding and partnerships. You will collaborate with the brand + community marketing team to develop the yearly strategic direction for the Community Marketing program in Boston. Through networking with regional organizations, ambassadors, clubs, climbing gyms, local businesses/associations, nonprofit organizations, and wholesale partners in your market, you will be the brand activator within your local community to help inspire participation in outdoor activities (climb, trail & snow) and increase brand understanding throughout the region. You are a true brand ambassador, consistently driving engagement with the brand. You are deeply connected to what is happening within your community, and are passionate about connecting the dots between people, projects, and events in alignment with Arc'teryx vision and values.

Meet Your Future Team:

The Community Marketing Manager is part of the Arc'teryx Commercial team and leads the community marketing efforts for their region and collaborates closely with the Regional Manager, passionate retail store teams, all market stakeholders, Community Program Managers, Brand Community Director and head office brand and marketing teams.

If you were the Community Marketing Manager now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:Leading community marketing strategy & leadership for all brand and outlet Arc'teryx stores in BostonSupporting the Community Content Curator in managing and scheduling content for, and engaging with the community through regional social media platforms and ensuring all content is regionally relevant and aligns with the global consumer calendarPartnering with local wholesale partners on community marketing activationsPlanning and executing local advertising campaigns to reach endemic and adjacent audiences (to drive awareness and traffic to Arc'teryx retail stores)Managing the community marketing budget for your region and reporting back quarterly on all initiativesRecruiting and collaborating with a team of regional ambassadors and influencers on events, social media, and philanthropic work in your marketCreating and delivering in season community briefs to regional teamsProvide regional support to store teams to ensure brand standards are maintainedLeading and developing the Community Content Curator to ensure local regional social channels are growing and there is regional representation of the Arc'teryx brand and valuesIncreasing brand awareness and traffic to local stores through regional events, partnerships, and consistent storytellingHere are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

Project managing bi-monthly regional events that acquire new email subscribers and authentically connect the community from all storesDeveloping and securing regional 'Live it" perks for teams in the regionConsulting and developing a process for onboarding new regional ambassadors, athletes, and strategic partnersDelivering community onboarding in partnership with regional teams for new retail leadersDeveloping engaging activations to celebrate new store openingsCoaching Community Content Curators, and developing them towards future rolesActing as the point person for reactive PR requests and leading proactive regional PR requests (supported by the PR team)Are you our next Community Marketing Manager?

You have 5+ years' experience in Marketing, or Retail Marketing for sports or outdoor apparel companiesYou have a strong knowledge of the outdoor retail and community landscape for your regionYou have outstanding oral and written communication skills, and a clear understanding of your impactYou are deeply connected to what is happening within your communityYou have strong project management and planning experienceYou have proven ability to set a clear vision, align your team around common goals and foster commitment to these objectivesYou effectively balance autonomy and collaborationYou remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguityYou seek the best (not necessarily the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is rightYour passion for leading is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it

$78,000 - $98,000 a year

A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $78,000 - $98,000 USD at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as store volume, job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.

Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
