LATERAL HIRE OPPORTUNITY AND ADDITIONAL PAY FOR TCOLE CERTIFICATION!Duties include receiving and dispatching emergency calls from citizens requesting police service; maintaining contact with police field units; entering, updating and retrieving information from teletype networks; and providing assistance in taking reports over the telephone. Duties require being able to work an eight or 12 hour shift covering a 24-hour period, and schedule will include weekends and some holidays. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and two years relevant experience; Computer Aided Dispatch, 911 or similar police-related experience preferred. If and when requested, must take and pass an assessment on Critical Personnel Selection

Software . Must have, or be able to obtain within specified timeframe, TCOLE telecommunications proficiency certificate and state licensure. Duties involve access to sensitive Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS), which requires that a thorough background check be conducted.

Candidates will be subject to a polygraph exam and criminal history check.
