Zimmer Communications is looking to add a qualified full-stack web developer to our interactive team. You will be responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining all of our station websites and station properties, as well as our client websites. You would need to be able to write clean code using modern W3 standards. You will need a wide-range of web development skills including agile development, source code management and speed optimization.

Responsibilities:

Use markup languages like HTML and CSS and content management systems to create user-friendly websites

Maintain and improve new and existing websites

Optimize websites for maximum speed

Ensure all internal and client websites meet ADA compliance

Track analytics for both internal and client websites

Stay up-to-date on new and emerging technologies

Review designs created by Art Director; ask any necessary clarifying questions before starting on work

Write code to implement those visual elements into various web applications

Identify and troubleshoot various website issues and coding problems

Meet tight deadlines as required

Communicate with team members about current projects

Requirements and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Web Development or relevant field

Thorough experience with the following languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (vanilla and jQuery), PHP

Some experience with database management and SQL/MySQL

Some experience with Bootstrap framework

Proficient in building and maintaining websites built in WordPress (including theme and plugin development)

Some experience with RESTful APIs

Some experience with GitHub or similar source management

Basic understanding of design software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

Portfolio or samples of past work and projects

Understanding of the entire web development process from design to deployment

Custom theme development

Familiarity with browser testing and debugging

Understanding of layout aesthetics and basic design

Knowledge of basic SEO principles

Familiarity with software and content management systems

Strong understanding of cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility and responsive web design

Experience with Linux in regards to server administration is preferred

Experience with Elementor page builder is preferred
