Greenbelt, MD (Hybrid)Swingtech is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Proposal Writer to join our Proposal Team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business development, capture, and proposal teams to create compelling, technically accurate, and compliant responses to government solicitations such as RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs. Your role will include creating proposal outlines, utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint effectively, and leveraging other proposal management tools to drive successful proposal submissions. This is a very hands-on role that also requires both independent contribution and strong teamwork and participation.Key Responsibilities:Lead the development of persuasive and technically sound proposals in response to government solicitations such as RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.Create comprehensive proposal outlines to guide the content development process, ensuring alignment with solicitation requirements and Swingtech's capabilities.Utilize various contract vehicles, such as GSA schedules, IDIQs, and BPA contracts, to develop competitive proposals.Monitor government contracting portals (e.g., Sam.gov, Symphony Portal) for new opportunities and updates on existing solicitations.Conduct thorough research to gather information and insights necessary for developing competitive proposals.Analyze government solicitation documents to identify requirements, evaluation criteria, and key compliance elements.Work closely with business development, capture, and proposal teams to understand the opportunity's scope and strategy.Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop win themes and key differentiators for proposals.Lead color reviews (e.g., pink, red, gold) and provide constructive feedback to ensure proposals meet or exceed solicitation requirements and quality standards.Incorporate feedback from color reviews and other team members to improve proposal content and presentation.Proofread and edit proposals to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with solicitation requirements.Collaborate with team members to conduct quality reviews and finalize proposals before submission.Organize and manage proposal development schedules to meet submission deadlines.Utilize proposal management tools and software to streamline the proposal process.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field.Proven experience in proposal writing and management, preferably in a federal contracting environment.Strong understanding of federal procurement processes and regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS).Proficiency in creating comprehensive proposal outlines and maintaining organized content.Strong experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Familiarity with proposal management tools and software.Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.Excellent research and analytical skills to gather and synthesize information effectively.Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple proposals concurrently and meet tight deadlines.Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with professional services or technology-based proposals.Familiarity with Shipley proposal development processes and standards.APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) certification preferred.Advanced degree in a related field.Summary of Benefits15 PTO days11 paid holidaysMedical Insurance with – 3 options (HSA with $600 Employer Contribution).Dental Insurance with no age limit orthodonture.Vision Insurance through EyeMed in and out of network coverage.Short Term and Long-Term Disability coverage with 100% premium support,Life insurance and AD&D with 100% premium supportSupplemental Life InsuranceCritical Care and Accident Insurance availabilityPet Insurance through NationwideEmployee Assistance Program401k with enrollment from day one. 4% deferral by company.$1500 Annual Training Budget$1500 Referral bonusEligibility for annual merit and discretionary bonusFlexible work arrangements#IND
