Position Overview:

American Outdoor Brands (AOB) was forged in innovation and the desire to build brands and produce high quality products that support the everyday shooter, hunter, defender, and outdoorsman. AOB is known for its leading marketing strategies and campaigns and is looking to hire a Senior Director over the entire AOB Marketing department. The Senior Director of Marketing leads the strategic vision and execution of all marketing initiatives, including all creative deliverables. As the key leader of the marketing department, you will help shape the identity of our brands, driving awareness and supporting consumer pull-through of our products and product lines, oversight of the generation of all visual content and assets as well as marketing campaigns, and ensuring consistency across all communication channels. With a focus on innovation and market insights, you will play a critical role in supporting our overall organizational goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Oversight of Marketing:

Foster a collaborative and creative work environment, with continuous focus on supporting key company initiativesEnsure standard processes, procedures, and workflows are well developed, documented, and implemented across all areas of the Marketing departmentOversight of the creative leadership team, ensuring the development of compelling and on-brand visual assets, including graphics, videos, and other creative materials that resonate with the target consumer and/or customerProvide guidance and support in curating custom merchandising solutions and strategies that align with our marketing strategies and market trends, ultimately in support of the companies go-to-market (GTM) strategies and pull-through initiatives

Oversight of Marketing campaign management:

Accountable for the planning, execution, and optimization of micro and macro marketing campaigns to drive brand and product awareness as well as consumer pull-throughAccountable for the planning and execution of all new product launch plans from the initial kick-off stage to roll-out, including creative assetsAccountable for maintaining all of our brands’ positioning and guidelinesEstablish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly analyze marketing campaigns as well as the overall campaign performanceUse data-driven insights and behavioral marketing to refine strategies and improve campaign effectiveness

Strategic planning:

Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the overall organizational needs and goalsContinuously conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats across all brandsAccountable for the creation and oversight of the brands’ short-term and long-term marketing plans

Oversight of budgeting and resource allocation:

Ownership and oversight of the overall marketing budget, including responsibility for brand budget allocations based on strategic priorities and overall business need and goalsAccountable for the allocation of resources dynamically across various brands and/or marketing initiatives

Oversight of relationship management:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as sales, product development, and operations to ensure the marketing team’s focus and prioritization is aligned to the overall business strategies, needs, and goalsAccountable for the oversight of the utilization, contracts, and overall relationships with external partners, agencies, macro-influencers, micro-influencers, ambassadors, and affiliates

Oversight of digital marketing:

Develop and execute digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, and SMM (social media)Monitor and optimize digital merchandising and our overall online presence to enhance brand visibility and product awareness

Innovation and adaptation:

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative marketing practices

Continuous monitoring and analysis of our competitors’ focus and strategy

Implementation of new strategies to stay ahead of the competition

Market analysis:

Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify marketing/brand opportunities and challengesProvide insights and recommendations based on market intelligence

Content strategy:

Ensure consistency in messaging and visuals across all communication channelsEnsure content aligns with brand messaging and resonates with target audiences.

Education and Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing preferredExperience: 10+ years’ experience preferred in marketing or product managementManagement experience preferred, with at least 5+ years of management of direct reportsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience working across multiple brands (agency environment or in house for an organization that has multiple brands)Competencies and Skills:

Regular and predictable attendance is required.Some work is required "off-hours" for business meetings/company events.Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer.Ability to move about facility on regular basis to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, or walking.Visual and hearing acuity.

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:

General office environment, with some exposure to plant environment, with forklift and other general hazards.
