The African American Diabetes Association (AADA) is seeking passionate and detail-oriented volunteer Grant Writers to join our team. You will play a vital role in securing funding to support our mission of educating and empowering the African American community about diabetes prevention, management, and healthy living.Responsibilities:Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with the AADA's mission and strategic goals.Write compelling grant proposals that clearly articulate the AADA's programs, needs, and impact.Work collaboratively with program staff to gather necessary data and information for proposals.Ensure all proposals adhere to funders' guidelines and deadlines.May assist with development of donor letters and other fundraising materials.Qualifications:Strong writing and editing skills with experience in crafting persuasive grant proposals.Ability to conduct thorough research and identify relevant funding opportunities.Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Proficient in AI, Microsoft, and familiarity with grant management software a plus.Passion for the AADA's mission and a desire to make a difference in the lives of African Americans affected by diabetes.Benefits:Gain valuable experience in grant writing and fundraising for a non-profit organization.Make a meaningful contribution to improving the health and well-being of the African American community.Flexible schedule to fit your availability.Opportunity to work with a dedicated and passionate team.To Apply:Please submit your resume and a cover letter expressing your interest in the position.
