Job Description:

LSU Online & Continuing Education is seeking a dynamic and experienced Communications Manager, proficient in the art of writing, to oversee all aspects of internal and external communications. The Communications Manager will play a crucial role in crafting and managing written and verbal content, ensuring consistency and alignment with the organization's mission and goals. This position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills, capable of creating and implementing communication guidelines to uphold the entity's brand and reputation.

Job Responsibilities:

Content Creation and Management 45%Create and manage written and verbal content for various channels.Ensure accuracy and consistency in messaging.Provide communication support for special events, initiatives, and projects.Communication Strategy Development and Implementation 35%

Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies.Establish and maintain communication guidelines and standards.Monitor and analyze communication metrics to measure effectiveness.Stakeholder Engagement & Liaison 15%

Serve as a liaison between the organization and external partners, media outlets, and stakeholders.Respond promptly to issues or concerns.Professional Development and Industry Trends 5%

Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in communications.Continuously enhance strategies and approaches based on learning.Works collaboratively with the Office of Communications and University Relations and adheres to the standards set by the division. Other duties as assigned.

- This position may be asked to work during an official closure, but who is otherwise not required to report to the physical campus during a closure and whose absence does not present a risk to the safety, resources, and well-being of the campus per FASOP HR-01.

Additional Information:

Due to the nature of the position and/or responsibilities, in times of emergencies and/or University closures, this position is considered operational essential. It may be required to assist the Office of Communications and University Relations on necessary communications matters in times of crisis, including potentially working in LSUs Emergency Operations Center during those times.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:
