Description Position Summary

The Director of Sales and Marketing Training leads a team of sales and marketing training managers to guide the identification and development of essential training programs to support and elevate the performance of the NORAM sales and marketing staff. Working in collaboration with sales and marketing leadership, this position defined and implements the soft and hard skills training aligned with staff performance expectations and defined competencies. This position oversees the ongoing evolution of training programs to support the strategic business objectives of the company.

Primary Duties

Manage, coach, and develop team of Sales and Marketing Training ManagersDevelop the sales and marketing training strategies to support the NORAM Sales and Marketing teams' defined competencies working in close collaboration with their executive leadershipOversee the development, update and delivery of blended training programs, tools, and materials in a variety of formats for sales and marketing staff, adhering to best practices in adult learning principles and methodologies to support CLN and IND businessesOversee the development, update and delivery of new training and learning programs to support new bioMerieux product launches and product updatesConducts and oversees training needs assessments for sales and marketing staff working in partnership with their executive leadershipProvide leadership for problem resolution, efficiency gains, process improvements and improved working relationships with a focus on company revenue and profitability objectives at both a strategic and tactical levelPrepare and manage annual capacity plan, OPEX and CAPEX budgets adhering to company policies and guidelinesDrive flexibility and responsiveness to address key strategic initiatives to support business objectives and new projectsDevelop and foster cross-functional networks and partnerships locally, regionally, and globally to support the continuous improvement of the sales and marketing training programsCultivate and foster an environment of trust and collaboration within the team and with external stakeholders encompassing the bioMerieux BehaviorsMaintain department processes and procedures to produce and manage required training course materialsEnsure program and Sales and Marketing LandD staff compliance company defined HR, legal and compliance guidelines

Training and Education

Bachelor's degree required.

Experience

8-10 years relevant industry and management experience5 years Sales and/or Marketing experience5 years training and/or coaching experienceTraining or coaching certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Skills or abilities required: Ability to optimally lead in a cross-functional environment, providing direction and guidance to team members with varied and complementary responsibilities.Technologies: Knowledge of instructional systems design and LMS systemsCommunication: Excellent verbal and written communication skillsManagement: Ability to manage up and down hierarchically across the organization globally

Domestic travel required 15% of time
