Position Summary

This position, reporting to the Associate Director of Sales, will sell AIChE's advertising and recruitment portfolio. This includes:Newsletters, web and retargeted ads, as well as CEP MagazineSponsored webinars and whitepapers to generate leadsSponsored content/content marketingJob board and recruitment adsAnnual Student Conference recruitment fair and recruiting-related sponsorshipsThe Sales manager will focus on identifying, qualifying, and capturing revenue opportunities related to these areas. This role may also be responsible for other sales related projects as directed by Associate Director, Sales.

Duties and Responsibilities

Generate revenue for a portfolio of AIChE advertising options by generating new leads, adding opportunities to the sales pipeline and closing sales.Maintain and expand business with current AIChE advertisersIdentify and prospect new companies and market segments to advertiseSeek opportunities to develop new advertising products that increase revenue at AIChECoordinate the delivery of advertising with CEP staff and others at AIChECollaborate with AIChE staff to leverage existing relationshipsStrengthen and develop relationships with existing and potential customersProactively establish and maintain effective working relationships with all departmentsIncrease Recruitment revenue, which includes the AIChE job board, CEP classified advertising the Annual Student Conference career fair and other conference career fairsAdditional assigned work as determined by Associate Director of SalesRequirements

Minimum of 3+ years proven sales experience as sales representative in media salesExperience with or knowledge of print and digital ad sales is desirableMust have previous research and cold calling experience and strong closing skillsAbility to research and generate potential sales leadsProven track record in selling high-end solutions and products to key decision makersStrong organizational skills and a self-starterAbility to build strong client relationships through active listening and consultative salesAbility to write strategic, integrated proposals for advertisersAggressive, goal-oriented individual who can work independently and must possess superior people skillsStrong computer skills and familiarity with the following programs (Microsoft Office, Salesforce)While this is a remote role, this role requires travel to the NY office 2-4 days a month after the initial training period.

Compensation

Full-Time - $75,000- $120,000 ($65,000 base salary + commission)
