Overview
Job PurposeThis is a software development position to join a team building the ETFI system, which supports automated and manual workflows to manage ETF, Indices and ETNs. This system, used by the ETFI Operations team, supports exchange traded products across the ICE organization. The candidate for this role will enhance, maintain and provide production support for the Omega ETFI mission critical application. This major contribution of this role will be to the migration of the NYSE ETF, Index and ETNs to Omega.ResponsibilitiesWork across all aspects of the product development lifecycle to enhance, maintain and support the ETFI product so new business and current business can be migrated to the ETFI systemCollaborate as a member of an agile scrum team to ensure communication and cooperation across the different staff members and roles within the teamWork with Product management and operations to review and refine requirementsConsult with senior members of the development team on product architecture and design issuesGuide less experienced developersDevelop features in Omega ETFI system in Java, UI, real time messaging, database and scripting technologies as applicableAbility to drive ongoing and new initiatives, and move projects to completion with little supervisionWork with QA and Product Ops to verify new features and perform regression testingProvide Off-hours support for new release deployment and production supportKnowledge and Experience5+ years of experience in professional software development environment5+ years of Java coding5+ years of script coding (Python or similar)5+ years of experience with web developmentStrong hands-on knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript.Strong hands-on experience with latest React framework, and / or Angular2+Strong hands-on experience with Java / Spring Boot, and microservice-oriented architecture (or equivalent NodeJS-based experience).Experience building and consuming JSON based RESTful web servicesBachelor degree in Computer ScienceAgile experience is a strong plusFinancial Services experience is a strong plusScheduleThis role offers work from home flexibility of 1 day per week.Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
