Position Purpose:

Working closely with executive management, the Director of Marketing prepares and executes the strategic marketing programs, social media and public relations efforts for Northland's portfolio of multifamily communities.

Essential Functions:

The following list of essential job functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented or modified, as necessary.Plan and implement long-term strategic marketing efforts for the Multifamily communities that continually elevate the Northland brand.Develop and oversee the corporate marketing budget as well as administering marketing budgets for projects and initiatives.Actively manages digital marketing campaigns including but not limited to PPC, SEO, Internet Listing Services, and website optimization.Manage property branding to maximize exposure and profitability, including analysis of competitor activity, sponsorships and PR opportunities.Develop and manage Northland's site level print media campaign, including opportunities to replace print with digital where applicable.Work with property and community managers to design and produce marketing materials, including brand tool kits, brochures, stationery, proposals, presentation templates, floor plans, site maps, mailings, and flyers.Work with Multifamily Analytics and Strategy team to drive lead generation across the Northland portfolio.Collaborate with Regional Property Managers and multifamily leaders to coordinate national and regional multifamily advertising and marketing strategies.Work with Multifamily senior leadership on crisis management plans as it relates to PR and timely communications. This may require response and involvement at times outside of standard office hours.Promote and facilitate internal communication in collaboration with multifamily leadership, senior leadership, and corporate communications.Coordinate with external vendors, including advertising agencies, PR consultants, photographers, graphic designers, web developers, and copywriters.Leadership and development of the marketing team members aligning with accountability, coaching, training, and providing direction where needed, ensuring the timely completion of tasks and projects in accordance with objectives.Qualifications and Requirements:

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

At least 8-10 years of broad-based marketing experience and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Marketing Manager or Marketing Project Manager role is required.Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communications, or a related field is strongly preferred.Marketing management, crisis communications, public relations and strategic planning experience is required, as well as a proven track record in developing and administrating marketing programs.Extensive knowledge of digital marketing in multifamily or similar B2C industry in addition to a working understanding of social media strategies and how to apply in a business setting.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under time and resource constraints at times.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to provide vision and leadership on collaborative projects and initiatives.Ability to manage and budget for external resources (agencies, vendors, consultants)Intermediate proficiency in desktop publishing and graphics applications, including Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe IllustratorProficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.Benefits Highlights:
