We are seeking an experienced Associate Creative Director, Copy, to lead our copy efforts and a small copy team working across the agency. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling and strategic content that resonates with target audiences across multiple platforms. Your expertise in crafting captivating narratives and your ability to adapt your writing style to various industries will be key to our success. Responsibilities
Strategic Content Development : Lead the development of creative concepts and messaging strategies aligned with client objectives and industry trends.Multi-Industry Comfort : Write engaging copy for diverse sectors, including CPG & Retail, Automotive, Healthcare, Government, Telecommunications, Media, and Technology.Multi-Project Leadership : Oversee the execution of multiple projects, both internal and external, from concept to completion, ensuring brand consistency and message effectiveness; prioritizing and project managing your own workload.Team Collaboration : Work closely with ux and ui designers, digital strategists, data, client operations, account and growth leaders to brainstorm ideas, refine concepts, and deliver high-quality work.Client Engagement : Present creative proposals and recommendations to clients, leveraging your storytelling skills to articulate ideas effectively.Quality Assurance : Review and provide feedback on copywriting deliverables to maintain high standards of excellence and accuracy.Industry Insights : Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor strategies to inform creative decisions and optimize campaign performance.Leadership and Mentorship : Provide guidance and mentorship to our copywriter and proofreader, fostering their growth and development within the team.Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.5-8+ years of experience in copywriting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.2+ years of experience working within an agency is preferred.Has a portfolio that demonstrates copy skills (please submit a link to your online portfolio).Proven track record of creating impactful content across multiple industries.Experience leading creative copy on the side of digital and traditional.Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and presentation abilities.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Experience with digital marketing platforms and tools is a plus.Work Environment
Our organization follows a structured hybrid work model, where employees work in an office environment in the middle of the week and remotely on Mondays and Fridays.Candidates for this position will ideally be located near our offices in Minneapolis, MN or Cincinnati, OH.Candidates located in Los Angeles, CA, San Diego, CA or Bentonville, AR will also be considered.
