As a key member of the Automotive and Display business unit, you will both promote existing products to customers and partners and drive strategic product planning. You will partner closely with engineering teams to shape our product roadmap and own the launch of new features and initiatives that will accelerate our growth, drive user satisfaction and develop our brand. You will be responsible for identifying new markets, technologies, and customer trends & building/running strategic marketing campaigns. Additionally, you will partner with global sales teams to define and promote new products and drive design wins for Synaptics’ next generation automotive products. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Acorn & Display Marketing.The typical base pay range for this position is USD $147,000 - $231,000 per year. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, equity, and other benefits. Note that compensation listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.Job DutiesResearch new technologies and identify opportunities in adjacent markets to drive innovation and growthConduct competitive research to better understand our market segments and implement strategies for differentiationDefine new differentiating products for the automotive market and create the go-to-market strategyEnable the Sales team by being the expert on our products and develop compelling, effective collateral to ensure Sales team successPartner with engineering teams to shape the product roadmap and implement tight feedback cycles between customers and the product teamClearly communicate company's vision and unique product benefits to a varied set of audiences including internal teams, industry analysts and customersDefine and negotiate strategic partnerships with key technology partners who can drive rapid growth and accelerate product momentumCompetenciesPossess thorough knowledge of semiconductor marketing principles, brand, product and service management, sales and business development along with a demonstrated track record of success and performanceAble to move seamlessly between proactive ideation and efficient, high-quality executionExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Experience working with automotive display suppliers a plusDemonstrated knowledge of various automotive electronics such as infotainment systems, battery management, connectivity etcDemonstrated success working cross-functionally with product, sales, PR and multiple functions within marketingExposure to working in a global environment managing product marketing activities with internal teams and markets in all regions especially the Asia Pacific regionProven marketing expertise with experience defining and successfully launching innovative products in the automotive market20% travel, both domestic and internationalBelief in DiversitySynaptics is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to workforce diversity.
