UX/UI Designer Role Summary: As a UX designer you'll work closely with product managers, content strategists, UI designers, developers and researchers to create an elegant customer experience. As a creator of bar-raising experiences, you inherently look for ways to remove the difficult and make complex experiences feel easy, intuitive and have a seamless flow that helps our customers feel empowered. You confidently make - and defend decisions while creating user-centered online experiences in an agile environment. About the Role As a UX/UI Designer, you will: Design and deliver solutions to complex problems in industry leading applications Deliver clear, well thought UX deliverables (wireframes, prototypes, designs, etc.) Understand the strategy and overall user experience of our products and capabilities Learn through experience and grow your skillset with mentorship Use and maintain design patterns and templates Work within fast deadlines without compromising quality Create work based on user-centered design best practices and methodologies Collaborate with cross-functional teams Present and defend your work to design leaders and product/technology stakeholders Contribute to UX/UI critiques and seek feedback on your deliverables Participate in UX Workshops alongside UX leadership and product stakeholders Understand Accessibility best practices and design for inclusivity Collaborate with product owners, development and other internal stakeholders to create new or evolve existing designs based on feedback, data and technical constraints Create designs for digital marketing initiatives, including banner ads, landing pages, social media campaigns, etc. Review and provide feedback on designs post-development, working with front-end developers to fine-tune deliverables Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) Proficiency in Figma Proven web design experience Excellent understanding of current web design principles, with an emphasis on engaging marketing campaigns across a variety of media formats Strong knowledge of web standards and accessibility (W3C and s508), interaction design, usability and user-centered design principles Experience with browser compatibility, responsive design, and optimization techniques Ability to adjust graphics and create / optimize graphic assets as needed to complete designs. Familiarity with CSS image sprites, SVG and other emerging file types is a plus. About You You're a fit for the role of UX/UI Designer, if you have: Basic qualifications: 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in a UX related field Portfolio and/or work samples that showcase your ability to effectively problem-solve Background in information design, interaction design, visual design, or similar General understanding of the principles of design, information flow, and accessibility Basic understanding of design and technical expertise with design tools Critical thinking skills that allow for creative problem solving Strong time-management, multi-tasking and prioritization skills Experience working on diverse teams that use design thinking to solve problems Excellent written and verbal communication General knowledge of CSS and HTML Aptitude to understand SEO/semantic solutions Preferred qualifications: BA/BS in graphic design, fine art, visual communications, HCI or related field (or equivalent industry training / experience) Familiarity with: Web standards (W3C and 508) / best practices for interaction design and Accessibility Experience in responsive design.
