Macmillan Children's Publishing Group (MCPG) is seeking an innovative Digital Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team to create and execute strategic and engaging social media and email marketing campaigns.The ideal candidate is a successful copywriter and content creator, who is a creative thinker and deeply interested in current and developing trends in social media and digital marketing. A love for children's literature is a bonus.Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Digital Marketing Manager will work closely with the entire Marketing and Publicity team and play a critical role in the success of MCPG's lineup of bestselling and award-winning titles and authors.What you'll do:Manage the MCPG social communities, including the Fierce Reads, First Second, Macmillan Children's TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, X, and moreDevelop engaging social media content with a focus on driving channel-specific KPIsCreate and execute paid and organic social media campaignsExecute partnerships with social media creators and influencersWrite copy and organize content for email marketing campaignsManage and update community and brand websitesCreate and maintain content calendarsAnalyze, review, and report on campaign performance, using metrics to inform future strategy decisionsMaintain a vast understanding of competitive brands in the publishing industry, as well as the overall children's, teen, and entertainment marketsIdentify the latest trends in social media and digital marketingProvide the marketing team with social media best practice policiesServe as integral support to the Director of Marketing, helping with the development of internal and external staff, department operations, and overall strategyManage a direct report

What you'll bring:Proven knowledge of digital marketing and social media platformsProven success in executing social media strategyStrong interest in analyzing data and turning it into actionable insightsStrategy-oriented with the ability to think creativelyCreative copy writing abilitiesComfortable working both independently and collaborativelyDetailed-oriented and well-organizedAble to manage multiple projectsAbility to learn new programs and be flexible within a changing marketplaceExperience in book marketing a plus, but not required

Ideal Experience:Three to five years years professional experience in social media and/or digital marketingExperience developing social media and digital contentUnderstanding of social media and digital analyticsWorking knowledge of Google Analytics and Adobe Creative Suite programs a plusHTML experience helpfulBachelor's degree required
