Responsibilities consist of both heavy administrative and project work.

The Role:

Support supervisor in all facets of their daily work: calendar management and scheduling; phone, email, letters, memos, and other written correspondence; running detailed sales reports; research on a variety of subjects; understanding of key toolsets (Bookscan, Muck Rack, TNT, Power BI, Microsoft Teams); handling mailings; other clerical support (notes, memos, etc.); event planningCoordinate all internal and external communications efforts, including departmental meetings, agent and author calls, meetings with key media contacts, and moreDevelop and write press releases, pitch letters, author Q&As, and press kitsIdentify key audiences on a title-by-title basis, develop targeted mailing lists, and execute galley mailingsContact with agents, authors, booksellers, and mediaCoordination of publicity campaignsAssist with planning for book tours, media outreach, detailed itineraries, and some author travel, where necessaryManage several departmental tasks, including budget tracking, expenses, award submissions, subscriptions, and the likeThis is a fast-paced, telephone, email, and internet-heavy position (Webex, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.) that requires someone with an extremely professional manner and the ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlinesThe Essentials:

Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skillsExceptional writing skills and attention to detailAbility to read on deadlineAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasksPrevious administrative experienceExcel, PowerPoint, Word required. This hybrid role is based in New York City and will require someone in commutable distance to the PRH offices to assist with author and book events, book mailings, and other essential in-person duties as necessary.

Entry-level salary for this position is $48,000. A
